I am constantly telling people about the Target REDcard! I have the Debit card and use it EVERY time I shop at Target. It doesn’t matter if it is for groceries, school supplies, clothing, electronics, or cleaning supplies. I faithfully use my REDcard! It even works at the Target Cafe and the Starbucks inside Target stores! If you like to walk around with a bag of popcorn and a soda/icee while you shop, this is perfect. A few times a year, they even send these incredible coupons in the mail. I am almost positive they are geared toward each individual’s shopping habits. I have purchased all of the items listed above throughout the year so I will definitely use every one of these!
EVERY time you use your REDcard (Debit or Credit), you save an additional 5% off your purchase. You can get this discount in stores or online. That means 5% off a gallon of milk or an extra 5% off the jeans that are on sale.
The DEBIT card withdraws funds directly from your bank account. It is NOT a credit card. There is no monthly bill, no monthly fees and no interest rates. You’ll usually see the debit on your bank statement within approximately 2-3 days after your purchase.
There are no tricks here. It is simply a Debit card that ONLY works at Target and Target.com! There are so many benefits you’ll receive if you have this card:
1 – FREE SHIPPING on most items at Target.com. You can literally order a bag of chips and have it shipped for FREE. I may or may not have done this before. 😉
2 – Extended returns. You’ll receive an extra 30 days on returns at Target or Target.com. The date will show on most receipts.
3 – Withdraw up to $40 at checkout!
4 – You can view your transactions online.
5 – You can add additional users – my husband now has his own Target Debit REDcard!
6 – If you have the Target app, you can add your REDcard then use your Cartwheel and Debit card all in one place. Very convenient.
7 – 5% Discount at Target’s Starbucks locations and the Target Cafe.
8 – Receive early access to special events, products and promotions. This past Black Friday, REDcard holders had early access to Black Friday deals. That was AWESOME! Also, they usually offer something FREE from the Target Deli a couple times a year, for instance popcorn or soda.
9 – THE BIGGEST AND BEST REASON TO HAVE A TARGET REDCARD…You will receive 5% off every single purchase you make at Target. Online or in the stores. It doesn’t matter if it is a piece of gum or a $3,000.00 television. Regular price, sale or clearance DOES NOT MATTER. 5% off always! There are very few restrictions like: prescriptions, eye exams, gift cards and a few others.
In 2017, I saved an extra $169.84 at Target after using my Debit REDcard. Trust me…if I had a SuperTarget near me, it would be higher. Unfortunately, my Target does not carry a lot of groceries. Hopefully one day that will change. I actually enjoy grocery shopping at Target.
