Did you know today was National Clean Up Day??
Today just happened to also be a day that my husband was working on a Cub Scout badge with our son! Perfect timing or as they say “two birds with one stone”!
Just as my boys were heading in from picking up trash in our neighborhood, two neighbors stopped by to thank them. My husband and son were offered 2 ice cold Propel drinks from our very kind neighbors. My son, Joseph, also got a yummy piece of candy! Joseph was so thirsty he guzzled his drink till it was gone! 😉
Moral of the story – I COMPLETELY understand that you or you and your family DO NOT have a lot of extra time to make a huge commitment to volunteer somewhere on a regular basis. I’m right there with you! However, my husband and son only spent about 15 minutes cleaning up around our house, the good deed DID NOT go unnoticed and you never know when you will encourage someone else! Small acts of kindness go a looooooong way – my son could not stop smiling!
