Here’s an easy yet yummy festive Holiday Recipe the whole family can enjoy!  It is perfect for dessert or to take to a potluck.  It’s that perfect sweet & salty combination and tastes delicious.  It’s also easy to throw together – get the kids involved.  The following measurements are based off what I used in the video at the bottom of this post.  It is easy to adapt to make many more!

Holiday Pretzel M&M’s

  • 12    small pretzel twists (we used Glutino)
  • 12    Hershey Hugs Chocolates, unwrapped
  • 12    M&M’s Holiday Milk Chocolate Candies

Preheat the oven to 200º.

Place the pretzels in a single layer onto a cookie/baking sheet (parchment is optional).  Onto each pretzel place an unwrapped Hershey Hug.  Place the cookie sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 4-5 minutes.  Remove the cookie sheet from the oven using an oven mitt.  Carefully place a single M&M on top of each Hershey Hug and gently “smoosh” the M&M into the Hershey Hug.  Continue with the remainder of the M&M’s.  If the Hershey Hug does not “smoosh” easily, place the cookie sheet back into the oven for 1-2 minutes until the Hershey Hug is softened, remove them from the oven and again put one M&M on top of each Hershey Hug.  Let cool slightly then place the entire cookie sheet into the freezer until cooled completely.  Once cooled, remove the Pretzel M&M’s and place into an airtight container or zip-top bag.  Enjoy!!

Rolo Pretzel Turtles

Preheat the oven to 200º.

Place the pretzels in a single layer onto a cookie/baking sheet (parchment is optional).  Onto each pretzel place an unwrapped Rolo candy.  Place the cookie sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 4-5 minutes.  Remove the cookie sheet from the oven using an oven mitt.  Carefully place a single pecan on top of each Rolo candy and gently “smoosh” the pecan into the Hershey Hug.  Continue with the remainder of the pecans.  If the Rolo does not “smoosh” easily, place the cookie sheet back into the oven for 1-2 minutes until the Rolo is softened, removed them from the oven and again put one pecan on the top of each Rolo.  Let cool slightly then place the entire cookie sheet into the freezer until cooled completely.  Once cooled, remove the Rolo Pretzel Turtles and place into an airtight container or zip-top bag.  Enjoy!!

Be careful – these are very addicting!  You can mix & match any of these items to come up with a different combination.  We’ve used mini Snickers (not GF) before and they were great!  You can also use square or circle pretzels.  Keep these ingredients on hand throughout any holiday season – they are so easy to throw together last minute if your in a pinch for time!
